CBP Releases the October 2024 ACE Deployment Schedule
CBP’s regular updates to ACE demonstrate the agency’s commitment to modernizing trade operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and simplifying customs processes for trade chain partners.
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has released the updated October 2024 ACE deployment schedule, which outlines key updates and new features to improve trade compliance, efficiency, and transparency for trade chain partners (TCPs).
The Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) is the primary platform for TCPs to report their imports and exports. At the same time, CBP uses it to assess the admissibility of goods entering the United States.
Key changes and 2024 ACE deployment dates
Through the October 2024 ACE deployment, CBP is introducing the following changes:
1. Mass processing and mass revert
To help process large volumes of data, CBP will allow users to simultaneously revert multiple entry summaries to a specific version number.
Deployment date: October 28, 2024
2. ACE collections via the user interface
This enhancement enables authorized users to unarchive a previous collection for the purpose of making an adjustment using that collection.
Deployment date: October 26, 2024
3. Broker access to CPSC documents
Brokers and filers will now have access to Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) documents in the modernized ACE portal,
Deployment date: October 2024 (TBA)
4. Edit collection for Serial Numbered Forms (SNF) only
This feature allows users to add cash receipt numbers to collections associated with serial-numbered forms

5. Treasury Forfeiture Fund refunds accounting
This update will provide the necessary logic to properly post seized refunds upon transitioning from the CBP Treasury Forfeiture Fund accounting workload to the Treasury’s Administrative Resource Center (ARC) on October 1, 2024.

6. New mandatory prompt for company ACE ID
This update adds a prompt in ACE Reports for identifying the subject company whenever a report is run or scheduled. Users with multiple accounts can schedule reports for delivery by e-mail.

2024 ACE Deployments scheduled beyond October
Here are some of the scheduled ACE updates planned for later in 2024.

Steel melt and pour country reporting (phase 1)
This update adds fields to the CBP Form 7501 for reporting the melt and pour country of origin for steel imports.

ACE collections – Serial Numbered Forms (SNF) user interface
CBP personnel will have more capabilities to monitor, track, and manage serial-numbered forms, including search and edit options.
